Two Mexican teenagers, Julio from a working-class background and Tenoch from a wealthier family, are spending time with their girlfriends before the girls leave for a trip to Italy. Without their girlfriends, the boys seize the chance to live carefree, bachelor lives. At a wedding, they meet Luisa, the Spanish wife of Tenoch’s cousin Jano. In an attempt to impress her, they talk about a fictional hidden beach called Boca del Cielo (Heaven’s Mouth), though she initially turns down their invitation. Later, Luisa visits a doctor and receives a phone call from a drunken Jano, who tearfully admits to cheating on her. The following day, Luisa contacts Tenoch, asking if their offer to visit the beach is still available.
