Movie Plot/Summary
After Simba becomes king of Pride Rock in Mufasa – The Lion King, he and Nala have a cub named Kiara and are expecting another.
They travel to an oasis where Nala can give birth, leaving Timon and Pumbaa in charge of watching over Kiara. Rafiki soon arrives to tell the story of Kiara’s grandfather, Mufasa, and his deceitful brother, Scar. Timon and Pumbaa provide humorous commentary throughout the tale.
A Long time ago, MUFASA in the Movie Mufasa – The Lion Kingwas born into a small family with his parents, Masego and Afia, who often spoke of a mythical place called Milele. When a flood hits, Mufasa’s fear prevents him from joining his mother, Afia, and he is swept away. He eventually meets a royal cub named Taka, who saves him from crocodiles, with the help of Taka’s mother, Queen Eshe. Reluctantly, Eshe accepts Mufasa into her family, but Taka’s father, King Obasi, punishes Taka for befriending an outsider. Mufasa offers to be of help to the pride and challenges Taka to a race to prove his speed. Though Mufasa falls behind due to exhaustion, Taka allows him to win, so Mufasa is accepted into the pride.
As Mufasa and Taka grow older, their bond strengthens, with Eshe teaching Mufasa how to hunt. The land is later attacked by two white lions, who injure Mufasa and Eshe. Mufasa kills one of the attackers, while the other flees. Taka, who witnesses the attack, runs away in fear. The surviving white lion reports back to Kiros, the leader of the Outsiders—a pride of white lions banished for their fur—and to Kiros’ sisters, Akua and Amara. They swear revenge. The Outsiders kill Obasi, Eshe, and their pride before hunting down Mufasa and Taka, who manage to escape by fleeing into a river.
