Movie Plot/Summary

Vedaa Berwa, a Dalit law student, resides with her family in Barmer, Rajasthan, where Jitendar Pratap Singh holds authority over 150 villages. Due to caste discrimination, Vedaa constantly faces abuse and mistreatment from upper-caste individuals. When she discovers that Jitendar’s brother, Suyog Pratap Singh, has established a boxing club at the college, Vedaa decides to take up boxing training in order to defend her family and herself.

Major Abhimanyu Kanwar is court-martialed by the Indian Army for defying orders to capture Ilyas Kashmiri, a notorious terrorist, alive. Instead, Abhimanyu kills Kashmiri, who was responsible for the death of his wife, Raashi. Struggling with his loss, Abhimanyu relocates to Raashi’s village in Barmer, where he takes up a role as an assistant sports coach at Vedaa’s college. Vedaa, a talented young athlete, faces opposition due to her caste and gender, preventing her from enrolling in boxing. However, Abhimanyu recognizes her potential and begins to secretly train her, helping her pursue her dreams against all odds.

Meanwhile, Vedaa’s brother, Vinod Berwa, is secretly in love with Arati, an upper-caste woman. They keep their relationship hidden, but eventually, they are discovered, and a kangaroo court punishes Vinod. Undeterred, Vinod elopes with Arati, and they get married. However, Jitendar deceives them, luring Vinod and Arati back to Barmer, where they are brutally murdered. In a tragic turn, Vedaa’s sister Gehna is burned alive, but Vedaa manages to escape. She seeks refuge with Abhimanyu, who swears to protect her.

Vedaa decides to head to the city court to file a case against Jitendra under the Dalit Protection Act. She and Abhimanyu manage to escape and successfully take down Jitendra’s men, including corrupt police officers, goons, and Suyog. They finally reach the court, but Jitendra and his men launch an attack on them. Undeterred, Vedaa passionately pleads for her rights before the judges, who ultimately side with her.
